What is Play and Beyond?
Play and Beyond is the work of Dalena Dillman Taylor and her partner in business and in life, Ben Taylor. Offering in depth training on Adlerian Play Therapy in collaboration with LEAPT, we are seeking to help counselors build out their skills and knowledge of play therapy to highlight the ways Adlerian Play Therapy can help when connecting with children. Recognizing the need for quality training for counselors, we put Dalena’s professional expertise to work, providing high quality training and consultation to counselors everywhere. Play and Beyond currently focuses on training and consultation work led by Dalena but will soon include the development of resources to help counselors
build out their play therapy rooms
Dalena Dillman Taylor
Dalena Dillman Taylor, PhD, LMHC, LPC, RPT-S is an Associate Professor at the University of Central Florida. She founded and directs the Center for Play Therapy for Training and Research working with Master’s and Doctoral Students engaging in research related to play therapy. Dalena is a wife and mother to three precious daughters who put her skills as a play therapist to work daily. She is a skilled educator and researcher, and approaches her work as a trainer and consultant with a passion dedicated to helping counselors grow their own skills to better serve their child clients.
